King Charles' Coronation plans in full - crown jewels, carriages and Royal emoji

The historic Coronation of King Charles III is just weeks away and now further details of the plans for the day have been revealed.

The Coronation on May 6 will honour centuries of tradition, however, His Majesty has been keen to modernise the monarchy by including a special Twitter emoji to mark the occasion, the Mirror reports. A colourful cartoon motif depicting a solid gold crown will be used across social media for the Bank Holiday weekend, Buckingham Palace has confirmed.

It comes as new details on the plans for the 11am service at Westminster Abbey reveal that the Crown Jewels will play a starring role.
