A kind-hearted teen is spending 100 nights sleeping in a tent to raise cash for homeless veterans. Ashton Wilson, from Clarkston in East Renfrewshire, has been inspired by his family members who have served in the armed forces.
The 13-year-old schoolboy has been camping out for three years to raise funds for the Royal British Legion Industries after learning about a lack of support for those leaving the military.
The youngster, who wants to join the RAF, hopes to follow in the footsteps of his great-grandfather and uncle Stewart Lyons and older brother Reece who have served in the military.
