Big-hearted Bonhill primary school pupils took part in a charity football match for Robin House.
Pupils from Primary 5 to 7 planned the event, which included charity buckets at the school gates, prizes from pupil and family support workers at the Vale of Leven Academy, and other competitions.
The P7s led P1-4 children through various football skill stations throughout the morning of the game. The tournament in the afternoon involved a pupil manager, former pupil Jordan Brownlee as a guest referee and two parent goalies, Mr Edwardson and Mr Donnelly.
Pupils participated in mixed groups games and the pupils media team had arranged for a shout out from Clyde 1. The children ensured that all spectators were fed and hydrated using the school’s very own pizza oven. After a nail-biting penalty shootout, the green team won the first charity trophy. The pupils organised and managed the entire event and raised an amazing £1025.
