Top-tier Kinahan gangster Sean McGovern is not expected to fly into Ireland for his father’s funeral this week.
McGovern, who is wanted on the foot of a European Arrest Warrant, is in mourning after his “devoted Dad” Des died last Sunday. Sean McGovern, who is considered to be mob boss Daniel Kinahan’s right-hand-man, is believed to be hiding out in the United Arab Emirates - and is not expected to return to Ireland for the funeral this coming Thursday.
The gangster, who is originally from Crumlin, is wanted to face charges in relation to the gangland murder of innocent Dad Noel ‘Duck Egg’ Kirwan. Kirwan, 62, was brutally shot dead outside his home in Clondalkin, West Dublin in December 2016 - with the cartel murdering him after he was seen in a photo with Gerry Hutch at the funeral of his brother Eddie Hutch earlier that year.
