This Kinahan cartel associate is facing up to six months in prison – after he was charged with dangerous driving.
The Star has learned that Lee Gibson – described in the High Court as a “foot soldier” for Kinahan boss Liam Byrne – was arrested following a series of incidents involving a scrambler bike in south Dublin on Tuesday evening.
Sources have confirmed that Gibson (23) from Crumlin was later charged with five counts of dangerous driving as well as two other alleged offences: one of having no driving licence and another of obstruction under the Public Order Act.

He was charged at Crumlin Garda Station before being released on bail and is due to appear in Dublin District Court at the end of next month.
The maximum penalty for dangerous driving at that court is six months in prison – as well as a fine of €5,000.
Sources have told The Star that Gibson – seen above in this Star photograph walking beside mob boss Daniel Kinahan (44) during the funeral of Regency Airport Hotel gun victim David Byrne – was allegedly arrested after gardai from Crumlin spotted a man in the area on a scrambler bike.
Mr Gibson will appear at the Courts of Criminal Justice complex next month.
As well as being photographed with Kinahan, Gibson was also previously seen posing with MTK boxing coach Danny Vaughan, Liam Byrne and his son Lee Byrne, Sean McGovern — one of seven men sanctioned by the US as part of the crackdown on the cartel — and Anthony McEnroe, who was named in the High Court as being connected to Liam Byrne.
