Kin stars spotted filming second season of hit RTE crime drama in Dublin

Spectacular new images show Aidan Gillen will return to the second series of RTE bloody feud drama, Kin.

The Irish Mirror can reveal Frank Kinsella will be back – despite viewers watching him suffering an overdose in the finale of season one.

Sister Birdy, played by Maria Doyle Kennedy, found him collapsed on the floor and with son Viking – played by Sam Keeley - also sent behind bars by rising mobster Amanda’s order.

Kin viewers were left wondering would Frank be out of the picture to let Amanda take control of the embattled gang after the murder of rival Eamon Cunningham.

But the gang all appears to be back – as our images show Maria Doyle Kennedy, Aidan Gillen, Sam Keeley and Emmett J Scanlan filming the next instalment of the series near the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on Tuesday.

The stars were spotted as they were all walking out of set after shooting indoor scenes in the new pictures. Dressed in a grey suit with khaki shirt, Aidan strolled out of the shoot location on day two of filming.

The RTE series' season one ended with Eamon Cunningham and his sidekick Con Doyle getting their comeuppance.

The bloody assassinations were masterminded by grieving mum Amanda Kinsella, whose innocent son Jamie was the first victim of the series.
