Kin's gangster moll Yasmin Seky said the second series of the hit RTE programme will be even more “turbulent” than the last.
The Dublin beauty – who plays Viking’s loyal girlfriend Nikita Murphy in the show – said viewers can expect to see more drama from the Kinsella family. Yasmin revealed: “I can’t say much but it’s definitely more turbulent than last year.
“I feel like this year we are going to see a lot of vulnerability [from Nikita]. After what happened last year and Viking going to prison, reality has hit her and this year we are going to see that.”

Yasmin recalled how “insane” it was to have landed a role on the hit show after receiving a Facebook message request for an old friend, Louise Kiely (Louise Kiely Casting).
She added: “From going to a Facebook message request… somebody was like, ‘Do you want a gig?’ and I was like ‘Getting in front of a camera for money? Sounds legit’.
“Then going on the journey and meeting the cast and finishing up on season one during Covid and now coming back, Covid is done, we’re hanging out together, we’re going to drag shows, we’re pretending to be gangsters.”
At the opening of Kilkenny Design’s Winter Wonderland store in Dublin, she said: “It was a lot of fun and it is crazy to be part of it.”
The 23-year-old opened up about a moment she had with Aidan Gillen after they finished filming on set one evening.
She said: “I kind of went in as a stranger.
“I remember I had just finished watching Peaky Blinders and Aidan Gillen was in the room and we finished up on the first day and they were picking us up and dropping us home and they were like, ‘Taxi for Yasmin and Aidan’.
“The first thing he said to me was, ‘So where do you work’ and I said, ‘I work for the bank’ and he said, ‘You’re not, eh, a Bank of Ireland kind of person’.
“But yeah I think it is really weird that you go from watching that person on screen and you meet them and you realise that they’re exactly like you and they are more than happy to help. It’s so weird.”
Yasmin previously told us how she returned to her job at Bank of Ireland after series one. But now as series two finishes filming, she has yet to go back to her post.
She added: “I’m not back yet. I don’t know.
“Yeah, I’ve been auditioning, I have an agent. In terms of the acting side, Kin definitely is... it’s kind of exciting, I can’t put it into words... accelerated it [her acting career].”
Yasmin also opened up about how proud her family are of her. She joked: “They can’t stop talking about it.
“They love telling people about it. Sometimes it is embarrassing. I’m like, ‘Dad, stop’.”
But she has no desire to leave Ireland to pursue an acting career in the United Kingdom, adding: “Not yet. I really love Ireland.
“That’s my issue. People always ask me, ‘Are you going to the UK?’ I’ve been asked already but I just love Ireland.
“But if push came to shove, you never know.”
