Kim Porter's children have refuted claims that their late mother wrote a tell-all memoir detailing an abusive relationship with her longtime partner Sean “Diddy” Combs. The alleged book, titled “Kim’s Lost Words: A journey for justice, from the other side…,” was independently published on Amazon in early September. Porter's children, Quincy, Christian, Jessie, and D'Lila, collectively denounced the book as a fabrication, stating that their mother did not write a book and anyone claiming to have a manuscript is misrepresenting themselves.

The children addressed the hurtful rumors circulating about their parents' relationship, likely in response to the book's alleged details of violence committed by Combs against Porter. They emphasized that any so-called 'friend' speaking on behalf of their mom or family is not acting in their best interests.

Porter passed away in November 2018 from pneumonia at the age of 47, with her autopsy report attributing her death to natural causes. The book, filled with errors and typos, suggests foul play in Porter's death, a claim refuted by her children who stated that her cause of death has been established for years and no foul play was involved.

The book, authored by Jamal T. Millwood under the name Kimberly A. Porter, details allegations of physical abuse and violence by Combs. However, the authenticity of the book has been questioned, with the real author identified as Chris Todd, who received the book from two music industry sources on a flash drive. Todd, also known as Todd Christopher Guzze, stated that he believes the contents of the book to be true but cannot verify its authenticity.

The book's release on Amazon coincided with Combs' arrest in New York and the unsealing of an indictment against him, leading to a surge in sales that briefly propelled it to the top of Amazon's bestseller list. However, it has since dropped in rankings. The children of Kim Porter expressed deep sadness over the public spectacle surrounding their mother's death and the dissemination of false information about her relationship with Combs.
