Kim Kardashian has said that she is worried that her fair will fall out after undergoing intensive bleaching to achieve her blonde bombshell look for the Met Gala earlier this week.
The social media and reality star bleached her hair blonde to wears the original dress worn by Marilyn Monroe for her performance of "Happy Birthday Mr President".
Marilyn was famed as being the quintessential blonde bombshell and Kim's blonde look was a tribute to the showbiz icon.
Kim spent 14hours bleaching her hair for her Met Gala look this year, and is worried about the toll that the bleaching will take on her hair.
“I did want a physical change, too, so I thought I would wait and do it for this, so I’m spending a day straight dyeing my hair — 14 hours straight! — to get it done,” she told Vogue.
Hair was not the only thing that Kim pushed to the limit for the look, undertaking a gruelling diet to lose 16lbs in only three weeks so she could fit into the iconic dress.
Kim, 41, took to her sister Kylie Jenner's YouTube blog in the wake of the annual Met Gala, and spoke of how she was concerned about the effect bleaching her hair platinum blonde for the look would have.
Video footage from before fashion's biggest night of the year shows Kim dying her hair, saying that she had been at it for "ten hours" and that she will "risk getting my hair to fall out"
The star was still wearing silver packs of hair bleach over her locks as Kylie commented how Kim was "so bold" for the transformation.
The cosmetics mogul had previously been adjusting her own look for the Gala, an off-white wedding-style dress.
Spotting her elder sister, Kylie said: "I cannot believe you're really dyeing your hair."
She added: "You're so bold for that! You're so bold."
Kim replied: "Oh I've been doing this for 10 hours already. I'll risk getting my hair to fall out."
The 41-year-old turned heads as she borrowed the gown from Ripley's Believe It Or Not museum, where the gown is currently housed.
A video posted by the museum to Instagram shows the middle Kardashian arriving for her fitting, only to panic as staff at the museum struggle to get the iconic and very delicate dress over her famously pronounced hourglass figure.
As the historical garment obviously could not be altered to fit Kim, staff had to come with a creative solution to make sure she could wear the garment.
In the end the team did not risk zipping up the famous dress, instead opting to tie it at the back and then add in a white shawl which Marilyn was famous for wearing.
This meant that the social media star walked the red carpet with the dress open at the back, covering the gap with a white fur shawl before she changed into a fitted replica of the garment after entering the gala.
