Kim Kardashian has opened up about the breakdown of her marriage to Kanye West and said he needed "to hit rock bottom" alone.
The 42-year-old reality star, who dated the rapper for 10 years, admitted she had initially tried to act as his "clean-up crew" whenever he acted out.
Kanye, legally known as Ye, has been widely criticised for his string of vile racist rants in a series of offensive and erratic tweets.
On the latest episode of The Kardashians, Kim was joined by her momager Kris Jenner as she talked about the stress she used to feel trying to save Kanye's image.
"Sometimes I feel like if he were to hit rock bottom that's his journey that he needs to figure out on his own," Kim admitted.
The SKIMS founder said she felt "so overwhelmed" by the situation and was scared she would be "stuck with this for the rest of my life".
"I used to run around and call everyone behind his back and be like, 'It's gonna be OK. It's gonna be OK. Just give him another chance'. I used to spend hours and hours and hours of my days as the clean-up crew," she told her mother.
Kris replied: "That's why you got divorced."
Kim said she "doesn't have the energy anymore" to deal with her ex-husband, to which Kris responded: "Nobody does and you never deserved to live like that."
In a confession, Kim added: "It's the hardest feeling, to watch someone you really loved and you have a family with, just be so different than who you knew."
Kanye and Kim share four children together - North, nine, Saint, seven, Chicago, five, and Psalm, four.
Kim revealed how their eldest child "actually doesn't know" anything about her father's outbursts because the reality star has everything in her house "blocked" apart from Apple TV.
"I can't risk an 'Access Hollywood' coming up next," she said.
