Kim Kardashian looked unrecognisable to fans in a new Fourth of July Instagram story she reposted on her personal account.
The image, which was initially from a Kourtney K fan page saw the TV star, 42, posing in front of an American flag showcasing platinum blonde hair and bleached eyebrows with a straight expression on her face.
In the photo, Kim showcased her tiny waist in a tight white tank top tucked into the pockets of her long, loose jeans with black pointed heels. If given this photo alone, many fans would not even recognise the star.
The star abandoned her original look long ago, after dying her hair from dark brown to platinum blonde for the Met Gala in 2022 and losing a significant amount of weight.
Kim called attention to this drastic change in her look by posting the photo after another older Fourth of July inspired photo of herself. In the older photo, Kim is seen with her dark brown hair slicked back wearing a low-cut American flag swimsuit showing off her cleavage. In the picture, she is sucking on a red-white-and-blue popsicle and staring directly into the camera decked out in red, white, and blue jewellery.
This comes as fans have begun to draw attention to other aspects of the star's new look, including her botox use. Fans are expressing concern over the star's recent injections, saying that she is no longer able to show emotion.
Botox shots are commonly used by celebrities and is used to block chemical signals from nerves that allow muscles to contract. This helps to relax facial muscles that cause winkles and frown lines. Although this is common, fans fear that Kim has taken the injections a step too far.
This was especially noticeable to fans in a recent episode of The Kardashians when the reality star was throwing her head back in laughter at the DMV while taking her new license photo. In that moment, fans noticed that her forehead was completely frozen when she smiles.
The SKIMS founder admitted to getting botox in 2022, when in an interview she shared that she had "a little bit of botox" in her face after more than a decade when she had negative side effects from a previous procedure.
Kim also admitted in May of 2023 that she gets Botox injections in her neck as well. This news came out in a video posted on Khloe Kardashian's Snapchat in a sneak peek of The Kardashians Season 3. In the video Kim's vocal coach tells her in a singing lesson "I'm using muscles in the neck" and Kim laughs and responds, "Half of mine are probably Botoxed so I can’t."
