Kanye West made sure Kim Kardashian was no longer haunted by her old sex tape after gathering all of the footage.
During the latest episode of The Kardashians, Ms. Kardashian became tearful as she revealed to her family what West had done to protect his loved ones.
In the scene, Kardashian explained to her mum Kris Jenner and sister Khloe Kardashian that West had travelled by plane to get the hard drive where the 2007 sex tape footage was stored.
The rapper, who split from Kardashian in 2021, is said to have met up with her former partner Ray J before returning the footage to Kardashian.
“He got me all of the sex tape back,” Kardashian explained from her hotel room ahead of SNL.
“And he flew home and he got the computer it was on and the hard drive. He met up with Ray J at the airport.”
It came after Kardashian voiced her concern in previous episodes of the family’s reality show after reading a news article about the sex tape online.
Kardashian was shortly due to present Saturday Night Live when the couple’s son saw an article that claimed to have unseen footage of Kardashian and Ray J.
Reflecting upon the gesture, Kardashian later explained in a confessional that Ye had done it for their family.
West and Kardashian share kids, North, eight, Saint, six, Chicago, four and Psalm, two.
“I know Kanye did this for me but he also did this for my kids,” she said.
“I want to shield them from as much as I can, and if I have the power to or if Kanye has the power to, like that is the most important thing to me, and I’m just like so emotional because of it. And it just means a lot to me.”
Kardashian and West split in February 2021 and have since been working through divorce proceedings.
In March 2022, Kardashian was declared legally single by a US court.
Kardashian went on to host Saturday Night Live in October after receiving the sex tape footage.
Shortly after her appearance on the comedy series, she embarked on a romantic relationship with SNL co-star Pete Davidson.
