Kim Kardashian is reportedly concerned that ex-husband Kanye West will ruin any future relationships she has following his behaviour towards Pete Davidson.
Pete is said to have been in trauma therapy after Kanye used a mock newspaper to declare "Skete Davidson dead at 28" on social media after Kim ended her nine-month relationship with the comedian.
The beauty mogul broke up with Pete citing the long-distance nature of their relationship, but it is believed Kanye's antagonistic behaviour towards his ex-wife's new man placed additional strain on the couple.
The 45-year-old rapper had taken a swipe at the Saturday Night Live star on Instagram by posting a fake New York Times cover claiming that "Skete Davidson" was "dead at 28".
A source told Closer magazine that 41-year-old SKIMS founder Kim is worried that Kanye could cripple more relationships in the future.
“Kim's heartbroken over her split from Pete and to have Kanye only add more upset has been a double blow," the source said. "His bad taste made her realise that he might never let her move on with her life and be happy.”
While the 13-year age gap between Kim and Pete has been widely reported as an issue during their relationship, the pair's work commitments are also believed to have been a factor in the split.
Another source told Page Six: "Pete is 28 and Kim is 41 — they are just in very different places at the moment.
"Pete is totally spontaneous and impulsive and wants her to fly to New York, or wherever he is on a moment’s notice. But Kim has four kids and it isn’t that easy. She needs to focus on the kids."
The source also cited that ongoing problems with Kanye, the father of Kim’s children, could be because he tries to “divide and conquer” whenever she is with anyone else.
People reported an insider saying that Pete required "trauma therapy" after being left "triggered" by Kanye's online abuse.
The insider continued: “[Pete] has no regrets for dating Kim and wants it to be made very clear that she's been nothing but supportive of him throughout their relationship... Moving forward he just wants to focus on his career.”
Kanye has regularly targeted the US comedian on social media during his relationship with Kim, who filed for divorce from the rapper in February 2021. Kanye is father to Kim's children North, eight, Saint, six, Chicago, four, and Psalm, two.
