Kim Kardashian has revealed why her ex-boyfriend Pete Davidson is hardly in The Kardashians – explaining it "is what it is".
Despite being in a relationship during filming, the TV funnyman is hardly seen and rarely mentioned in season two of the hit-Hulu programme.
In the most recent episode, Kim, 42 briefly explains why the Saturday Night Live comedian, 28, is noticeably absent from most scenes.
Speaking ahead of the premiere for her famous family's new TV show, Kim tells the cameras that it's 'not [Pete's] job' to be on a reality show.
She goes on to explain that fans "might get a glimpse" of the comedian "here and there", but he will likely not appear a lot in the show.
While getting glam for the red carpet event, a produced quizzed Kim about her then-boyfriend, asking who her 'plus one' was for the premiere.
After revealing she was not going to be walking the red carpet with Pete, she said: "I’m going to walk it with my sisters."
She added: "This is my thing. He’s just going to support."
At the time of the event, which took place in April earlier this year, the pair would have been dating for around six months – but he was still yet to appear on the show, except via phone calls.
"When the camera’s up for him, it’s like a skit or a role. [This is] not what he does," Kim explained. "I’m obviously going to talk about what goes on in my life, and he’s a part of that."
She added: "But I also respect that this is my job, and it isn’t his job. So you might get a glimpse here and there but it just…it is what it is."
Kim and Pete broke up in August earlier this year after nine months of dating, they were were first spotted hand-in-hand back in October 2021.

Kourtney tried to recall details of the impromptu nuptials in the episode – revealing that she was 'black out drunk'.
The pair hired an Elvis impersonator to conduct their very intimate Sin City ceremony, a 'romantic' ordeal which they later called a 'practise' session for their real do.
Trying to recall the drunken 'I dos', Kourtney said: "I blacked out. I actually don’t remember, though."
She added in confessional: "I didn’t even remember like Elvis sang to me walking down the aisle. I just didn’t remember. I didn’t remember I had a bouquet."
