The Los Angeles Lakers might have a few people who they feel should take some blame for their loss to the Denver Nuggets on Saturday night, with D'Angelo Russell, Jarred Vanderbilt and Dennis Schroder all struggling to be as effective as they have in previous series.
Head coach Darvin Ham coach have made better rotational decisions, and even LeBron James and Anthony Davis could have made better plays in certain situations.
But one person who Lakers fans didn't think they'd be blaming is Kim Kardashian, and it might not be for reasons you think. An online theory surrounding the Kardashians, brandished as the 'Kardashian curse' has suggested that teams in which the family are around go on to struggle.
In the past, a few athletes have dated members of the Kardashian family, including Tristan Thompson ( Khloe ), Kris Humphries (Kim), Chandler Parsons ( Kendall Jenner ), Lamar Odom (Khloe), Reggie Bush (Kim), Devin Booker (Kendall) and James Harden (Khloe).
A strong case can be made that all of these players, besides Booker and Harden, saw their careers nosedive after they had dated members of the family - thus creating the 'Kardashian Curse'.
And in recent times, that curse has been extended to family members even being in attendance to watch team's play. In March, Kim was surprisingly seen at an Arsenal game with her family - when they were stunned by Sporting Lisbon in the Europa League.
Since then, the team have capitulated, winning just 15 points from a possible 30 and losing the Premier League title to Manchester City. Just days before this, the Kim's family also went to see Paris Saint Germain, who suffered a shock loss to Rennes.
And last week, the reality star and influencer has been at Lakers games - however, fans believe it's the opposite. Kim was present for both of the Lakers wins over the Golden State Warriors, but was not there to see the team lose to the Denver Nuggets - with fans asking Kardashian to be present for game four.
One fan said: "We need Kim Kardashian back," as another said: "Get Kim Kardashian back at the crypt I'm convinced she came to see Dlo (D'Angelo Russell) cause man has been a** since she left."
Another fan said: "I didn't expect Kim Kardashian to be the one to save the Lakers."
Saturday's loss means the Lakers are now 0-3 down heading into game four on Monday in a must-win game.
