Kim Kardashian has now addressed the statement that she made about women in business that attracted controversy following an interview with her family earlier this month.
The reality TV star, 41, prompted a backlash with a comment that she made whilst speaking to Variety recently ahead of the launch of the new show The Kardashians on Hulu.
She was interviewed by the outlet alongside Kourtney Kardashian, 42, Khloé Kardashian, 37, and Kris Jenner, 66 - with them asked to share advice for women in business.
Kim encouraged women to get their "f***ing a** up and work," with her heard in a clip from the interview stating that it appears as though "nobody wants to work these days."
The remark quickly led to criticism of Kim, who was referred to as "tone deaf," with it suggested by some that privilege had helped her become a success within business.
She has since addressed the controversy in an interview for ABC News with Robin Roberts, 61 - who asked what she had meant and what she wanted to say about it now.
Kim responded to the broadcaster: "Well that statement that I said was without questions and conversation around it. It became a soundbite really with no context."

She said: "It wasn't a blanket statement towards women or to feel like I don't respect the work or think that they don't work hard. I know that they do. It was taken out of context."
The Keeping Up with the Kardashians alum however apologised if it was "received that way," with her providing further details of the previous interview to ABC News presenter Robin.
Kim said that the question before the one that prompted her controversial response had suggested that she was simply "famous for being famous," despite having a 20 year career.
As a result, Kim said that her "whole tone and attitude changed," shortly before she was asked to share advice for other women. She subsequently issued advice in the new interview.
She said: "Having a social media presence and being on a reality show doesn't mean overnight success. You have to really work hard to get there, even if it might seem like it's easy."
Kim - who co-founded shapewear brand Skims - said that people can build a "really successful business" through social media but said that this requires "a lot of hard work."
