Kim Kardashian and her daughter North West have left TikTok fans wanting more after their joint account was temporarily down.
The @kimandnorth account on TikTok had a message that read, "Couldn't find this account" for about an hour on Thursday.
The account on the platform, which boasts 15.5 million followers, was reportedly down after nine-year-old North asked for a break from living life in the public eye.
An insider reported that North, whose father is rapper Kanye West, is keen to pursue other outlets and wanted to step out of the spotlight after being on the TikTok platform for over two years.
A source told TMZ: "North has been more interested in focusing her creativity in other areas lately and is taking a break from TikTok.
"Like most kids, interests change often, so she may be back on as early as tomorrow - or never again."
The decision to step back might also be linked to North's father Kanye's open disapproval of his daughter being on social media.
Last year he slammed his daughter for being on TikTok as part of his rant against Kim when their split became bitter.
He told Hollywood Unlocked: "Tell her don't have my daughter wearing lipstick on TikTok and don't have her on TikTok at all if I don't approve that, and I said it after it was done without me knowing, and it happened again.
"So I feel like there's some poking the bear, trying to antagonize me or create this, like, "crazy" narrative. Because to say someone is crazy, they're trying to take the power away and do anything to get people to not pay attention to me."
In retaliation, Kim responded in an Instagram Stories post in February 2022. She claimed her ex-husband was trying to control and manipulate her with his public statement slamming her's and North's use of TikTok.
She said: "As the parent who is the main provider and caregiver for our children. I am doing my best to protect our daughter while also allowing her to express her creativity in the medium that she wishes with adult supervision - because it brings her happiness.
"Divorce is difficult enough on our children and Kanye's obsession with trying to control and manipulate our situation so negatively and publicly is only causing further pain for all."
