Kim Jong-Un’s daughter attends first Korean War memorial with father

Kim Jong-Un’s daughter attended her first Korean War memorial, stepping out to greet elderly veterans with her father by her side on Monday (27 July).

Footage released by state media KCNA shows Kim Ju Ae, who is speculated to be her father’s potential successor, paying her respects at a cemetery in Pyongyang in honour of the 73rd anniversary of the Korean War armistice.

North Korea celebrates 27 July as a victory over US-led allied forces in the 1950-1953 conflict.

Ju Ae was first publicly introduced in 2022 when she accompanied her father to the launch of an intercontinental ballistic missile. Prior to this, her existence had only indirectly been confirmed by former NBA star Dennis Rodman, who visited the country in 2013.
