Kim Basinger has revealed she suffered with agoraphobia, which had stopped her from leaving her house.
The actor, 68, candidly spoke about the condition on Red Table Talk, with her set to feature in the next episode of the show alongside her daughter Ireland Baldwin, 26.
The pair are seen in a preview clip from the episode - due to be released later today - whilst in conversation with Jada Pinkett Smith, 50, who co-hosts the show with her family.
Asked about having experienced agoraphobia, Kim - best known for films such as L.A. Confidential (1997) - said: "I wouldn't leave the house. I would no longer go to dinner."
According to the NHS, agoraphobia can be described as "a fear of being in situations where escape might be difficult or that help wouldn't be available if things go wrong."
Kim - who shares Ireland with ex-husband Alec Baldwin, 64 - is seen discussing her experience with the condition in the preview clip for Red Table Talk, released by People recently.
The Oscar-winning actor recalled that it was "really horrible" to experience the condition as "fiercely as [she] did during those years and not know what it was."

Kim - whose credits include Batman (1989) and Fifty Shades Darker (2017) - described her experience with agoraphobia as "like something just completely shuts down with you".
She said those who suffer from the condition often have to "relearn everything," admitting that she herself had to learn how to drive again once she did start leaving the house.
The actor said that "everything used to make [her] nervous," with her recalling during the Red Table Talk discussion that she wouldn't go through tunnels in Malibu for many years.
During the conversation, she suggested that having a dry mouth is a symptom of the condition, with her adding: "You're very shaky. You're just so exhausted all the time."
The next episode of Red Table Talk, featuring Kim and daughter Ireland, is due to be released on Facebook Watch today (April 27) at 9am PST - which is 5pm in the UK.
The social media talk show is fronted by Jada as well as her mother Adrienne Banfield-Norris, 68, and her eldest child Willow Smith, 21. The three of them co-host together.
