Kim Basinger has revealed daughter Ireland Baldwin is having a baby girl as the actress compared her daughter's sonogram to the one she received 27 years ago.
Ireland, 27 - who is the daughter of Kim and Alec Baldwin - announced on New Year's Eve that she was expecting her first child.
In the sweet New Year's message, Ireland shared a sonogram image of her unborn child. Now, Kim, 69, has took to Instagram to show a throwback snap, showing off the sonogram image she got of her daughter on April 6, 1995.
Sharing the image alongside a note she penned on the back at the time, Kim said: "I know it’s hard to read… But in April of 1995, this was a note I wrote on one of my first sonograms of baby Ireland.
"'It said '4 white paws and a tail. Like I said to Dr. Liu (my OB), It’s a puppy!'"
She went on to joke: "'This weekend, 27 years later, I looked at @irelandirelandireland’s newest sonogram and could have sworn she was having a Beagle!
"Like mother, like daughter…. and a new baby girl coming our way. So looking forward to meeting this little Snoopy in June."
And Ireland appeared more than happy to share the moment with her mum as she replied :"Awwwwwww!!!!!!"
Baby daddy Andre Allen Anjos also took the time to reply to the future granny, writing: "I can't wait to meet her too."
A day earlier Ireland had told her 681k Instagram followers she wasn't going to make her page a "mom blog" or " pregnancy account".
While she said there was nothing wrong with those who do it that way, she added: "If one more person asks me to send a picture of my bump to them, I'm going to lose my mind. Because I don't have one.
"My child is so deeply nestled in there, and I'm tall, and there's just a lot of room for her in there."
She then joked: "I look like I ate about 12 sub sandwiches, but other than that, you'd never know."
And she concluded with a message to anyone who may see her during her pregnancy. "This one is pretty common," she said. "When and if I do start to show, I don't care if you are my best friend, I don't care if we're family, I don't care who you are, I don't discriminate, I don't care if you're elderly, do not touch me unless you ask.
"You would be shocked at how many people don't ask."
