Kilwinning Rangers today warned a thief they’ve been caught on camera after valuable equipment was stolen from the club’s ground.
The Buffs have given the light-fingered individual 24 hours to return a hose and fittings swiped from Buffs Park on Monday evening.
The items taken during the raid are due to be used for the club’s new pitch irrigation project this summer.
Club officials set the thief an ultimatum to hand back the equipment by today or the police would be called in to trace them.
In a short statement on its Twitter page this morning, Buffs said: “The club are disappointed to learn that the hose and fittings for our new pitch irrigation system was stolen from Buffs Park last night.
“We have the incident on CCTV, the person has 24 hours to return the equipment or evidence will be handed to the police.”
Buffs’ Kilwinning Sports Club base has developed dramatically in recent years with a smart all-seater stand and the pitch surrounded on three sides by covered standing areas.
Kilwinning were relegated from the West of Scotland League Premier Division last month but hope to bounce back in season 2023-24 with a successful First Division campaign.
