An ex-police officer who organised the contract killing of his wife has been branded a "coward" following his execution in prison after failing to apologise in his final moments.
Robert Fratta, 65, was executed in a Texas prison on Tuesday night after being handed a death sentence for his crimes.
Andy Kahan, the director of victim services and advocacy for Crime Stoppers of Houston, said that Fratta had been “a coward in 1994, when he arranged the murder for hire of his estranged wife”.
