Killer prisoner who demanded right to have sex in cell could be freed next year

A killer who once tried to win the right for sex in his cell could be freed next year.

Andrew Millard, 59, who has been granted a parole hearing, tried to use human rights laws to get permission for a tryst with a warped pen pal.

"Then locked up at Bristol prison, he aimed to be the first inmate in history to enjoy the perk.

The bid, thwarted by authorities, came two years after he was jailed in 2005 for knifing ex Julie Harris, 41, seven times in the chest.

A source said today: “Millard is so conceited he even asked the Prison Service to be allowed to have sex in his cell.

"The application for parole should be thrown out.”

Millard launched his frenzied attack on Julie in Cheltenham, Glos, after he was freed from a three-year stretch for knifing another ex.

The Parole Board confirmed Millard’s review and said: “A hearing is expected to take place early next year with a decision being issued shortly after this.”
