Kilchoman Distillery has secured £22.5m worth of funding to invest in new production facilities and growing the brand globally.
The deal will let the Islay-based independent distillery increase production of its single malt.
Kilchoman aims to produce 40% more whisky within the next 12 months and the owners have already started work on a new warehouse, with extra staff having been hired to cope with demand.
