Kieran Trippier has gone public his ambitions to be on a huge ITV show, with the Newcastle United captain even admitting to speaking to Ant and Dec about being a contestant. And the show in question is none other than long-running series I'm A Celebrity get Me Out of Here.
The England international has just had a great season for NUFC, playing a big part in Eddie Howe's men qualifying for the Champions' League and winning the club's Player of the Year accolade. He has just enjoyed a family trip away to the Bahamas with wife Charlotte and the couple's children and, as Kieran gets ready for another season with the Magpies, Kieran has expressed a keenness to appear on I'm A Celebrity.
The subject came up when the full back and Newcastle United teammate Callum Wilson appeared on the latest episode of Jill Scott's Coffee Club podcast, with them talking to the England Lionesses hero about her winning stint on the show. And it was then that Kieran dropped the bombshell that he'd actually floated the idea of going into the jungle, to the show's presenters, Ant and Dec.

He told Jill: "I think it’s quality. It’s the one show I’d love to go on. I mentioned it to Ant and Dec on the last home game of the season. That’s the one show I’d love to go on."
If Kieran was to go on I'm A Celebrity, hew wouldn't be the first former NUFC star to appear on it. Rx midfielder Kieron Dyer, appeared alongside Vicky Pattison on the show in 2015, with David Ginola narrowly missing out on as place in the final at the end of 2021.
