Mikel Arteta has given a major update on the future of Arsenal star Kieran Tierney amid mounting transfer talk.
The former Celtic hero has struggled for consistent game time this season as the high-flying Gunners aim to win the Premier League title from the grasp of Manchester City. Arteta's side have been unstoppable at times and the coach, despite the promise of rotation, has not changed his winning formula much. This has caused the Scotland cap to be make just four appearances for Arsenal this campaign owing somewhat to injury problems.
Now according to reports Tierney is considering his options in the summer of a potential transfer exit with Eddie Howe's Newcastle United said to be leading the chase for the 25-year-old. Arteta has promised squad rotation but dismissed that he was thinking about a scenario that the Scot leaves North London.

When quizzed about the lack of game time for Tierney on a potential transfer exit, he said: “I don’t know, I’m not thinking about it, I’m thinking about what’s best for the team and obviously and the players with the right to play minutes which they all deserve and we’re going to try to do that in the next couple of games.”
Fresh reports claim that the ex-Parkhead man, who sealed a big money move in 2019 worth around £25m in total, has been put to the Toon by representatives, potentially speeding up the process for the summer window.
