Kieran Tierney earns Celtic one word response from two Parkhead icons as Arsenal star a 'tough one'

Kieran Tierney has been hailed as 'unbelievable' by two Celtic heroes.

The Arsenal star, whose future seems to be somewhat in the balance, was imperious for Scotland as Steve Clarke's side saw off Cyprus and Spain in a historic week for the Tartan Army in EURO 2024 qualifying. For Tierney, it was a focus shift from his diminishing role with Mikel Arteta's side thanks to the efforts of top star Oleksandr Zinchenko who has been keeping the 25-year-old out the starting eleven.

But the Scotland cap turned heads again on international duty with his performances with reports suggesting Newcastle United are leading the charge for his signature. It has also been said any major decision on the left-back's future could be confirmed in the summer as the Gunners chase what would be a historic Premier League title.

For Celtic heroes Scott Brown and Mikael Lustig, however, there is no doubt over the defender's ability. The pair are set to host an event on May 18 called ‘A Night with Scott Brown & Mikael Lustig' at Glasgow's Ovo Hydro with special guests and a question and answer session.

The former captain and ex-defender were quizzed on Celtic's Youtube channel to describe their former teammates in one word but admitted that task was tough when it came to Tierney.

Brown first said: "I don't know if I can describe him in one word...unbelievable." Lustig then added: "That's a tough one, there's a lot of words come out. I'll just say 'Celtic' with him as well."
