An angry man who lashed out at two young boys after they refused his offer of a daffodil was jailed yesterday.
Donald McKay smashed a bottle and brandished the bottle neck in Glasgow Green.
The 36-year-old had earlier approached the nine and 16-year-olds near a play park.

He was initially knocked back before shouting: "Take this f***ing flower or else".
McKay, of East Kilbride, challenged them to fight as he swung the broken bottle neck.
He later claimed he tried to give one of the boys the flower because he was a "wee sweetheart."
McKay pled at Glasgow Sheriff Court to assaulting the 16-year-old boy on April 7.
He also admitted behaving in a threatening or abusive manner towards both of the victims.
Prosecutor Mark Allan said: "Near the play park, McKay approached them and offered them a daffodil which they politely declined.
"McKay became aggressive and said 'Take this f***ing flower or else' and shouted in a highly aggressive manner."
The two boys declined again and attempted to walk past McKay.
Mr Allan said: "He pulled out a glass bottle from his rucksack and smashed it off the ground then challenged the boys to fight.
"McKay held the handle of the broken bottle and put it to the face of the 16-year-old boy.
"McKay swung at his head and he had to duck to avoid."
Police arrived to find McKay in conversation with the boys and the bottle on the ground.
He was arrested before telling officers: "I picked up some flowers and offered them to the boy who was a wee sweetheart."
Mark Dunbar, defending, told the court McKay had taken a mixture of alcohol and drugs and has "no recollection" of the incident.
Sheriff Joan Kerr told McKay: "You acted this way towards the young boys who would have been shaken up and effected by it.
"There is only one disposal available to me and that is custody."
