The landlady of a popular Lancashire pub has raised eyebrows with a sign threatening to give Red Bull to unattended kids - and teach them how to swear.
Mum-of-four Jo Hunt and her husband Jordan have run The Heys Inn, in Oswaldtwistle, for almost a decade and the couple live in the pub with their children. Mrs Hunt, who welcomed their fourth child just 16 weeks ago, jokes that the pub is "dog-friendly and child-tolerant" despite a sign inside cheekily warning parents to keep an eye on their children.
The sign, which reads "unattended children will be given Red Bull and taught to swear" has led to "a lot of giggles" from regulars. "It's obviously just a joke," Mrs Hunt told LancsLive.

"We have four children ourselves, ranging in age from 10 right down to 16 weeks, and we always joke that we are dog-friendly and child-tolerant. All the locals had a giggle about it. If anyone takes it seriously then bugger them!"
Although the couple live at the pub with their four children Mrs Hunt said their kids don't often spend much time in the bar. "We had them singing karaoke on Christmas Eve but it's rare for them to be in the pub," Mrs Hunt added.
Mrs Hunt, who has run the pub in Stone Bridge Lane for just over nine years, revealed that despite the cost of living crisis and rising energy bills, the Heys Inn is doing well and says it's "just a case of balancing what's coming in with what's going out". The couple have recently signed a contract to stay on for another five years at the pub.
"The bills are getting bigger but we just have to balance that," Mrs Hunt said. "But we've got a really good group of regulars and we're doing really well. We're really excited about signing a new contract."
