Khloe Kardashian is trying to move on from love rat ex Tristan Thompson, but has admitted it's not as easy as simply unloving him.
The reality TV star, 38, ditched the basketball star, 31, after an on-off six-year relationship earlier this year after he was found to have cheated on her.
The sportsman, who also has two kids with Khloe, fathered a child with another woman, Maralee Nichols, in 2021 while still dating the Kardashian.
Now, Khloe is going at her own pace as she tries to rebuild her life with four-year-old daughter True and her newborn son, whose name hasn't been revealed yet.
She says that people keep telling her to move on from her ex, but admits it's not quite as easy as that. Speaking on The Kelly Clarkson Show on Wednesday, the Good American founder said: "When I said I'm learning to un-love Tristan, I think people—whether it be family or friends, or anyone you're telling your story to—they're like 'Okay, so move on.'
"I'm like 'No'. It's not that easy."
She later revealed it's been difficult trying to undo all the habits she had when dating the sports star. She continued: "The repetition, the routine. When something good happened, I would call Tristan. That's what I did. Any little thing I would share my life with him."
However, she confessed that "reprogramming" herself will come given time. "I know that this isn't the right thing for me," she said. "And I need to slowly heal and move on, but it doesn't happen overnight."
When questioned by singer-turned-presenter Kelly about whether she will always hold a special place in her heart for her ex despite the trauma, she admitted this would be the case. Proving her point, she moved on to discuss her ex-husband Lamar Odom, who she was married to between 2009 and 2016.
She said: "My ex-husband, I genuinely still love and I want the best for him and I'm rooting for him."
But again she confessed it's important to know when someone is "just not a right fit for you".
Elsewhere this week, Khloe broke her silence after she was heard yelling "liar" at Tristan. She made the outburst back in April when he appeared on screen talking about wanting to build a family together.
Now, during a confessional on the latest episode of The Kardashians, she revealed she didn't believe him at all, but said: " "I probably made it a lot more awkward than it needed to be. Story of my life."
