KFC customers disgusted after Australian workers filmed 'licking chicken' on TikTok

KFC customers have expressed their disgust after staff appeared to lick pieces of chicken in a viral TikTok video.

Employees can be seen messing with food in the footage reportedly taken at a fast food outlet in Australia, which has now been viewed nearly half a million times.

The divisive antics - which the captions say took place at 'closing time' - begin with a male KFC worker pulling a tray of cooked chicken out of the warming oven, reports 7 News.

After picking up several pieces with his hands, he then appears to lick and take several bites out of the chicken.

Further clips show a woman, said to be a fellow employee, laughing as she moves towards a tray of chicken with her mouth open.

A staff member can be seen standing with his tongue extended as chips are thrown across the kitchen, while in a separate clip a KFC employee is seen stuffing lettuce into their mouth.

Customers of the popular fast food chain in Australia have responded angrily to the footage since it emerged online, with many believing the kitchen staff's actions to be unsanitary.

One TikTok user described the staff's behaviour as 'feral' (TikTok)

An angry TikTok user described their behaviour as "feral" in the comments, while others have expressed concern that their own food may have been tampered with.

One person said “Is this what you were doing when I waited an hour for my food?”, while another added: “This is truly disgusting, even if you’re throwing it out"

A disgruntled TikTok user vowed to bring the footage to the attention of the company, writing that they were “sending this to head office.”
