Ex-USA international DaMarcus Beasley has described Tyler Adams as 'one of the best midfielders' at the 2022 World Cup.
The Leeds United midfielder has played a key role in guiding USA to the Round of 16 - captaining his nation in all three group matches. The Star and Stripes are undefeated after drawing against Wales and England respectively, and beating Iran 1-0 on Tuesday.
Despite failing to qualify for the 2018 World Cup, USA have reached the knockout stages in five of their last seven World Cup campaigns.

Beasley was a member of the squad that reached the quarter-finals in 2002, and went on to appear at four World Cups during an international career that saw him accumulate 126 caps in 16 years.
The 40-year-old, who retired from professional football in 2019, has been discussing Gregg Berhalter's side, and believes Adams has had an 'incredible' impact at the finals in Qatar.
"What he [Adams] does for the US team is incredible," Beasley told FOX Sports via the Daily Mail. "The way he tracks back, the way he covers. Watch his aggression, look at his heart. You can tell he wants to win.
"It doesn't matter who gave up the ball he's going to yell at you. If it's Christian Pulisic, if it's Brenden Aaronson, Tim Weah, it doesn't matter. He just wants to win.
"His ability to be able to know when to play simple balls, play long balls. I think he has a high ceiling and I think he is one of the best midfielders in this tournament. Not just with the national team, but in this tournament."
