There could be major disruption this weekend when a main route into Liverpool City Centre is closed.
Liverpool City Council issued a warning that diversions will be in place because of some major roadworks.
The council said the city centre bound lanes of Derby Road - also known as the A565 - will close from 7pm this evening from Millers Bridge to Bank Hall Street.

The road is the main route for people travelling from Bootle and other Sefton areas into Liverpool.
The closure is being brought in so that road resurfacing work can take place.
The road closure will continue until Sunday evening, meaning that the route into the city centre will be closed for the majority of the weekend.
Diversions will be put in place by the council to try and manage the traffic flow while the closures are in place.
These diversions will direct traffic via the Dock Road or Stanley Road.
A council spokesperson apologised for any inconvenience that the closures may cause this weekend.
