Robbie Fraser insists a parting message from Borna Barisic will stick with him for as long as he's at Rangers.
The young left-back signed a two-year contract extension until the summer of 2026 on Monday, with Philippe Clement viewing him as a deserved understudy to Ridvan Yilmaz in the first team.
Barisic left the Scottish Premiership side at the end of his deal after six years at Ibrox. He and John Lundstram have signed for Turkish side Trabzonspor.
Fraser admits he was sad to see the 31-year-old leave the club, as he revealed a piece of motivational advice he passed on before moving on.

He said: "Borna leaving was quite sad for me because he worked with me so well - he gave me so much information and gave me a lot of his time and effort.
"The last thing he said to me when he left was 'You're the future of this club,' and that'll always stick with me."
"It's a special moment," the 21-year-old added when speaking about his new contract to Rangers TV. "It's a big, big day for the people that are really close to me - my family, my friends.
"I take so much pride in being involved with this football club. To extend my stay for a couple more years is a really good feeling.
"Seeing the way the manager has come in, he's shown added faith in younger players. He gave me my opportunity in the first team. I've got a lot to be thankful for. I can really see there are positive strides for me moving forward.
"I had a really good chat with him just before I made my debut which, yeah, was a real eye-opener that things could happen for me at this club. Thankfully, I did get my opportunity and I hope to kick on now.
"If you're willing to work hard enough, and every day try to get better, then the manager has proved that he can give you opportunities if you're good enough.
"I've been here for 14 years - I'm into my 15th year now. There's been so many ups and downs, it almost feels like a rollercoaster. I've enjoyed it all. It's continuing and I'm happy about that.
"There's so many coaches to be thankful for through the academy journey, and the first team. So many have put the time and effort into me to help make me the player and person that I am today. There are too many to name individually, but I hope they know how thankful I am."
