NEW DELHI: Delhi Police’s investigation in the Jahangirpuri rioting in April has determined that Mohammad Ansar was the chief financier for a group of individuals who had conspired to stoke violence on Hanuman Jayanti. Ansar’s “core group” included two other accused, Tabrez and Enabul.
“Tabrez and Enabul were involved in provoking people during the riots. They also actively participated in the violence,” a police officer disclosed. The duo, among others, received money from Ansar, he added.
