Oscar-winning actor Kevin Spacey has pleaded not guilty to seven allegations of sexual offences against a man in the early 2000s.

The Hollywood star, 63, appeared via videolink at Southwark crown court for the hearing in front of Mr Justice Wall.

Spacey, wearing a dark-coloured suit, white shirt, and pink tie, spoke to confirm his name and repeated “not guilty” seven times to the charges.

The actor has already denied five further allegations relating to three other men, who are now aged in their 30s and 40s.

He is expected to face all 12 charges together in a four-week trial due to start on June 6.

In the new charges, Spacey – appearing in court under his full name Kevin Spacey Fowler - is accused of three counts of indecent assault, three counts of sexual assault and one count of causing a person to engage in sexual activity without consent between 2001 and 2005.

He faces allegations of sexual touching, touching over clothing and forcing the complainant’s hand against his privates over clothing.

According to the charges, Spacey is accused of indecently or sexually assaulting the alleged victim on at least 13 occasions between January 1, 2001 and June 24, 2005.

The two-time Academy Award winner, known for starring in American Beauty, The Usual Suspects and House Of Cards, is on bail until his trial.

He previously pleaded not guilty to four charges of sexual assault and one count of causing a person to engage in penetrative sexual activity without consent.

A pre-trial review in Spacey’s case is due to take place on April 5. The judge told the court he would consider a minor change of the trial date, as long as the case concludes before the end of July.
