Kevin Maguire cut off after bursting into song during debate on Good Morning Britain

Kevin Maguire erupted into song in the middle of a heated debate on Good Morning Britain.

The associate editor for the Daily Mirror appeared on the ITV talk show to be interviewed with Andrew Pierce by hosts Ed Balls and Susanna Reid about the recent tax cuts made by the government. Susanna asked him about Keir Starmer's Labour policies.

He said that Mr Starmer was saying not to forgive or forget the Tories as they are giving a "shedload" of money to the richest people in the country. He went into a rant about how only the richest are being helped with the latest changes announced by Liz Truss and her government.

As Andrew tried to add to points made, it was difficult to hear him, as Kevin started to sing and whistle. He burst out the tune of Always Look on the Bright Side of Life as he whistled parts of the melody.

He then continued to talk over his colleague and it was unclear what either of them had been saying. He then went off on another rant as Susanna was forced to interrupt him.

She said: "Kevin... Kevin... Kevin!" But he ignored her and continued to talk. Eventually she cut them off as she said: "Thanks very much indeed" and the camera stopped showing them.

Fans on Twitter weren't too impressed with the random outburst. Jasmine said: "Always look on the bright side if life.... There's no bright side!!!! With theses Tories in charge!!!#gmb"

Shaun said: "Trying to listen to a genuine point and Sad Sack Macguire has to make sure no one can hear. P****! #GMB if you insist on having him on make sure he can at least adult for 10-15 Mins." Meanwhile, Lee said: "Who are those two idiots on #GMB ?"
