Kevin Hart spotted filming new Netflix movie in Bangor park

Comedian Kevin Hart was spotted filming for his new Netflix film in a Co Down park.

Locals snapped the American star shooting scenes for what is believed to be his new Netflix film Lift in Ward Park in Bangor on Thursday, June 2.

In pictures, he can be seen sitting on a bench chatting to other cast members.

Bangor man Darren took the pictures on Thursday after seeing a friend post about the filming on social media.

He told Belfast Live: "A friend posted on Facebook that he watched them filming in Ward Park and I just grabbed my camera and went down."

The production had been in Belfast earlier in the week filming at Ulster University's Belfast campus.

The comedian turned actor has become somewhat of a familiar name on the comedy scene in Belfast in recent months after playing Limelight and Ulster Hall gigs.

The Emmy & Grammy-nominated star has made Northern Ireland somewhat of his adopted home over the last few months whilst based here to filming new Netflix comedy heist film, Lift.

Hart plays a master thief who is wooed by his ex-girlfriend and the FBI to pull off an impossible heist with his international crew on a 777 flying from London to Zurich.

The feature is part of a creative partnership deal that 42-year old Hart signed with the streaming giant just over a year ago, for his production company to produce four movies exclusively for Netflix.

In 2020, Hart released his seventh hour-long stand-up special, “Zero Fu**ks Given,” which quickly became Netflix's biggest stand-up special of 2020 and earned him a Grammy nomination for “Best Comedy Album”.

He also earned Emmy nominations for “Die Hart,” for “Outstanding Actor in a Short Form Comedy or Drama Series” along with an Emmy nomination for his Docu-series, “Don’t F**k This Up”.
