Kevin Durant set Twitter on fire with a cryptic tweet and NBA fans absolutely lost it

We need this Kevin Durant trade to happen ASAP. Like, right now. It’s the only way to make his tweets fun and troll-y again.

Because this morning? Man. Durant fired off a cryptic tweet that had fans absolutely losing their minds.

Obviously, Durant requested a trade from the Brooklyn Nets earlier this week on Thursday. The era of the Kyrie Irving-Kevin Durant Brooklyn Nets is essentially over. There might still be a chance neither gets traded, but it feels like we’re in too deep at this point.

Regardless, Durant let off this tweet that it was really hard to discern where it was coming from.

“The ones who were locked in that gym with me know what it is, they know what I’m about. If u haven’t been in there with me, ask around.”

Durant is giving a shoutout to all the people who’ve been there with him from day 1 while he was putting in the work to become the great player he is today. We understand that part.

But what’s kind of confusing is the timing of this tweet. What does it mean? Who was it targeted at? What’s going on?

We have no idea. And that led to lots of chaos in the replies.
