Kevin Costner's wife Christine seen for first time since 'blindsiding' him with divorce

Christine Baumgartner was spotted driving in California for the first time since serving divorce papers to her ex-husband Kevin Costner.

The 49-year-old - who reportedly claims Kevin told their kids about the split over Zoom - held onto her cell phone as she sat behind the wheel of a grey Range Rover. She arrived at her and Kevin's $145million compound which she allegedly refuses to leave.

In the court documents, Kevin says that Christine, who works as a handbag designer, is using the situation of them still residing together to her advantage.

He said that she is allegedly using the situation to make him agree to "various financial demands".

The Daily Mail reports that the documents note how the couple had a prenup that states how Christine has 230 days to move off their property after filing for divorce".

The sighting comes after the 68-year-old is said to have been "very surprised" by the split, with a friend saying Kevin seems unaware what the reasons are for their divorce.

"Everyone thought Kevin and his wife were super happy so it's all surprising. He truly loves her and is trying to get her back. He's been blindsided by this," a source said.

The former couple tied the knot in 2004 and they share three children together - Cayden, 16, Hayes, 14, and Grace, 12.

As news of their split broke, a second source told US Weekly that Kevin has been left "deeply saddened" by the divorce and is "trying to save his marriage".

The source continued: "Kevin loves his wife and children so this has been very hard on him. He is saying that this is his worst nightmare and he would do anything for his family."

Kevin recently accused his estranged wife of spending almost $100,000 (£78,280) of his money via his credit card and bank account, according to reports.

Court documents reveal that he says Christine "has withdrawn from my bank account and charged on my credit card a total of $95,000, payable to her divorce attorneys and forensic accountant".

He also accuses her of spending the money "without any prior notice" to him, according to Us Weekly.
