Comedian Kevin Bridges has said that it was seeing footage of Oasis that gave him the courage to tackle stand-up.
The Clydebank comic was just 17 when he saw the band performing their hit song Live Forever in front of 40,000 fans at Manchester City’s former ground, Maine Road.
The 36-year-old said seeing Liam and Noel Gallagher performing gave him "goosebumps", the Sunday Mail reports.
He said: “My mate’s mum and dad went on holiday so everyone kept showing up at his to party in his ‘empty’. Me and one of his brother’s mates, a boy called Geordie, had been sitting at about 3am or 4am just talking about tunes.

"We were the last two standing and, as he only lived a few doors up from where the party was happening, he said, ‘I’m going to go and get this VHS tape of Oasis live.’
"He put it on – the one where they are live at Maine Road. It was the first time music has given me goosebumps.
“Oasis made being a big star, and standing in front of all those people, look accessible. They were just guys who could have been at our party."
It was at The Stand Comedy Club in Glasgow that Kevin got his start, becoming a huge sensation across the UK.
He said: “I got such a buzz watching them – and singing my favourite tune of all time – that when I went home
I got on my PC and googled ‘Open Mic comedy nights in Glasgow.
“I sent an email off to The Stand Comedy Club, saying, ‘I’d love to try stand up – here’s my mobile number.’ I went to sleep and forgot about it.
“About a month later they phoned and said, ‘We’d like to book you in next Tuesday for a Open Mic slot’.”
He told BBC Radio 2: “Oasis proper lifted people up and especially somebody like myself who was at a crossroads in life – just going, ‘Right, where’s my life going to go?’”
