A woman was kicked out of Kevin Bridges ' Hydro gig after a second fight broke out in the space of a week. With around 10 minutes left of the Saturday night show in Glasgow, a scuffle broke out between a man and a woman in the crowd.
Security raced over, while others sitting around the pair tried to break them apart, as Kevin stopped the show to ask what was happening. Other members of the crowd informed the comedian that there was fight, before he quipped that he has the "best view" from the stage.
The woman was then "dragged out" by security before Kevin continued with the end of his show. It comes after someone else was kicked out during the same set on Thursday night, as the comedian joked he "felt like Joe Rogan" watching it break out around 20 rows back from the front of the stage.
The Glasgow comic revealed he had beefed up security at the gig, following the scrap a few days earlier. Although the extra enforcement were unable to stop the fight from breaking out, their action brought it to swift end.
An eyewitness at the show on Saturday told the Record: "Around 10 minutes before the end of the show, there was suddenly some shouting from behind us. Turning round, we could see a blonde woman with her hands around a man’s neck.
"As stewards rushed over to break up the incident, people around the pair stepped in to try and pull her off him. Kevin stopped the show, asking what was happening. Several audience members shouted back that there was a fight. Kevin quipped that he had the best view of the fight from the stage.
"He then spoke about how just two nights before another fight had broken out, and how he had hired extra security just in case. The woman was dragged out by security and still appeared to be trying to get back to attack the man.
"Once she was removed, Kevin continued on with the last 10 minutes of his show. At the end of it, he apologised to the audience and said he hoped everyone was okay. As we were leaving, stewards were taking statements from the man who had been attacked."
Others took to social media to praise the comic's set, as fans said the fight didn't spoil the fun. One said: "Kevin Bridges did not disappoint, absolutely brilliant. Wee fight broke out in the crowd anaw."
Another said: "It aint Glasgow without some dafty starting a scrap at Kevin Bridges. Shame he didn't get his phone out in proper Glasgow manner and record it."
And a third added: "Comedy 10/10. Heckling 3/10. Crowd scrap 2/10."
An SEC spokesperson said: “The individual in question was removed as soon as our team became aware of the situation, as is standard practice.”
Police Scotland said the incident wasn't reported to them.
