Kerry Katona's fiancé adopting youngest child as she 'doesn't remember' her dad

Kerry Katona has revealed her youngest child Dylan George wants to be adopted by her fiancé Ryan Mahoney.

The former Atomic Kitten singer has spoken about her desire to have her youngest child, who she has nicknamed DJ, adopted by her partner Ryan. DJ's biological father George Kay passed away in 2019 at the age of 39, and Kerry, 42, said "it is completely" her daughter's decision to be adopted by Ryan.

The mother of five tragically added that DJ "doesn't remember" her biological father as he died when she was just five years old. "Me and Ryan won’t be getting married any time soon, but when we do, it will be a shotgun wedding in Vegas," Kerry revealed in her new! Magazine column.

She explained: "For now, we are going through the adoption papers for Ryan to adopt DJ as I found out she wanted to call him Dad. She doesn’t remember her biological father, George, so I think if it’s something she wants to do, then that’s completely up to her."

Kerry was previously married to Westlife singer Brian McFadden, 42, from 2002-2006 and shares her daughters Molly, 21, and Lilly-Sue, 20, with the singer. She went on to have Heidi, 16, and Max, 14, with her second husband Mark Croft, 52, who she married in 2007 before they divorced four years later.

Kerry previously said of their adoption plans: "DJ, my youngest, she's only ever known Ryan. Her dad died when she was only five, she's only ever known Ryan. So we're going to go down the adoption route as well with DJ."

She added: "But also, if anything was to happen to me, I want to make sure that security is there for my children to remain with Ryan and by being married, that all helps."

This comes just weeks after the TV personality revealed her teenage daughter Heidi moved schools due to bullying over her mums OnlyFans page. Kerry has thanked the adult subscription service for helping ease financial burdens and reportedly earns over £600,000 a month.

The star wrote: "In the past, I think they’ve been treated differently by teachers, other pupils and even parents. When we first moved up north, my Heidi had to change schools because boys in her class were teasing her over me being on OnlyFans.

"People read things about me and then judge my kids. That’s not fair. They never asked for me to be their mum. My downfall should not be on their shoulders."
