Kerry Katona rushes to A&E as she thought she was 'going to die'

Kerry Katona said she rushed to A&E after she thought she was "going to die".

The former Atomic Kitten singer, from Warrington, said her throat and chest became swollen which caused her to struggle to breathe, reports the Mirror. The 42-year-old said she called her doctor following the symptoms she felt during a visit to a cosmetic clinic for a consultation for an eyelid lift.

In her latest new! magazine column, Kerry said: "I'm really swollen and it hasn't got any better. I ended up going to A&E as I was so worried about it. They've told me that they need to investigate further.

"So for now, my doctor at Pall Mall Cosmetics has given me some water tablets which will hopefully help with the swelling." After suffering a panic attack and swollen throat she thought she was dying.

Kerry said the panic attack stemmed from health anxiety as she awaits corrective surgery in January on her botched tummy tuck and will also get an eye lift. She said she was worrying about the procedures and revealed her mental health took a turn for the worst last week and has left her reaching out for medical help.

She told OK!: "I had a massive panic attack last week. It was the first one I’ve had in a while. My body has been swollen since I had surgery last year. My whole body is sore and puffy – my legs, my stomach, my face, my neck. I feel like I need popping.

"I was lying down in bed and I felt like I couldn’t breathe. My throat and chest felt really tight, it was awful. I felt like I was going to die. I’ve arranged a call with my doctor but if it gets worse I’ll go to A&E.

"I suffer from health anxiety and I’m really scared."

The TV personality underwent a botched tummy tuck last year which "cut her belly button off".
