Kerry Katona has revealed that she lost £14,000 after being forced to pull out of a two week cruise because of her intense fear of the sea.
The former Atomic Kitten singer, 42, revealed it was the most she has ever spent on a holiday and she never got to experience the first class trip after pulling out the night before.
Despite losing so much money, Kerry says she is "so grateful" to have the career she has.
The mum of five led a jet-setting life whilst a member of Atomic Kitten and has enjoyed family holidays since exiting the band.
But she still couldn't bring herself to get on the cruise.
"The most I've spent was around 14K on a two-week cruise with Mark Croft when I was pregnant with Heidi," she wrote in her New column.
"We booked a first-class trip, but the night before I had a panic attack and we didn't go because I was so scared of the sea.
"So we lost all the money."
She continued: "It makes you think about people who work for a whole lifetime for that kind of trip.
"I'm so grateful that in the career I'm in, I've been given lots of amazing opportunities to see the world.
"I know how lucky I am and I never take it for granted."
Kerry has just returned home after some fun in the sun with her children in Turkey.
Unfortunately, the singer revealed she had an awful time after her daughter suffered a health scare.
Eight-year-old DJ became seriously unwell as Kerry was drying her hair.
"On the last day, I was blow-drying our DJ’s hair and she collapsed, with her eyes rolling back. It was the most terrifying thing ever," she said.
"Ryan picked her up and ran outside with her to get some fresh air, and she just sat there staring at me and throwing up. The hospital said her blood pressure had dropped as she was overheated and hungry."
Kerry said she couldn't wait to get on the plane home.
Kerry first married Brian McFadden, who shares daughters Molly, 21, and Lilly, 20, but the couple split in 2004.
She went on to marry and divorce Mark Croft, the father to her children Heidi, 16, and Max, 14.
Kerry then married the late George Kay, who was dad to eight-year-old daughter DJ.
