Kerry Katona 'crying in pain' after stage accident left her unable to perform

Kerry Katona revealed she was in tears after a misstep left her hurt and unable to perform.

The star took up the role of Ugly Sister Botox in the pantomime Cinderella over the Christmas period. During her time with the show, Kerry found herself having to take a backseat after a fall left her "crying in pain."

Discussing the injury in her New magazine column, the Atomic Kitten singer said: "I was walking off the wings and I fell down a platform after tripping over."

"I really hurt my foot. I was crying in pain." Her 19-year-old daughter Lilly - who she shares with ex Brian McFadden - thankfully stepped in for her last minute and was "amazing."

She added: "She literally had five minutes to get changed and get on stage. I was blown away by her. Thank God she was able to save the day!"

The fall wasn't Kerry's only concern over the holidays as she shared the news she was battling a mystery illness that "ruined" her Christmas. The mum-of-five admitted she's never felt so poorly in her life and has been on antibiotics for the last few weeks.

She suggested she may have contracted an unidentified variant of the coronavirus but later revealed all of her lateral flow tests came back negative.
