The Kerala State Lottery Department, operated by the Government of Kerala, is one of India's most popular and trusted lottery systems. Established in 1967, it was the first government-run lottery programme in the country. Today, the department conducts seven weekly lottery draws and several bumper lotteries throughout the year, offering participants a chance to win prizes ranging from hundreds of rupees to crores.

The weekly lottery draws are held at Gorky Bhavan near Bakery Junction in Thiruvananthapuram, with the draw beginning at 3:00 PM.
