Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga has said he and his Blues teammates will continue working following their Carabao Cup final defeat to Wembley Stadium.
The Spanish stopper played a key role in the loss having been substituted onto the pitch by Thomas Tuchel ahead of the penalty shootout.
Following 21 successful spot-kicks, Kepa was unable to convert as he lifted his effort high over the crossbar - handing Liverpool the trophy in the process.
He took to Twitter shortly after the defeat at Wembley with a few optimistic words, whilst also sending a message to Blues supporters.
He wrote: “To fall and rise.
“Disappointed after big effort during the tournament. We keep working.
“Thanks Chelsea family for your support.”
Despite having seen Kepa miss the decisive penalty at Wembley, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has suggested that he sticks by the decision to introduce Kepa for Edouard Mendy with the former having proved pivotal for the Blues in a penalty shootout on numerous occasions in the past.
Speaking in his post-match press conference, the German said: "I take the decisions when I take the decisions.
“I only take them when I want to take them. I cannot re-judge my decision after the outcome.
"We all don't know what would happen if we left Edou on the pitch. This is how it is so no blame on him, blame me. I am the guy who takes the decisions, sometimes it works out or not works out. This is the life of a football coach who does substitutions.
"Sometimes you bring on a player and he scores and sometimes you bring on a player and he makes a decisive mistake. This is what happens so no regrets. If you need to take the blame, take it on me and I take responsibility for that, of course."
