Christian Kuria, a multi-talented musician from Kenya, will give a Bangkok debut concert at Lido Connect, Rama I Road, on May 31 starting at 7pm.
Presented by The Very Company, "Christian Kuria Live In Bangkok" is the first chance for local audiences to enjoy the unique and innovative sound that blends traditional African rhythms with modern pop music rendered by an alternative, indie pop and R&B artist.
Nairobi-born Kuria began singing at an early age. His music is influenced by his favourite artists such as John Mayer, Marvin Gaye, Ray Charles and Daniel Caesar.
He has released several singles and an album that has been met with critical acclaim. His single Toroka made him internationally known with more than 40 million streams as well as his EP Suspension Of Disbelief in 2022. His famous hit songs include Deep Green, To Good, So and Sunbleach.
Kuria has also performed live at many festivals around the world including Afrobeats in London and the World Music Expo in Tokyo. His music has been streamed over 100 million times by fans across the globe.
The upcoming show is part of his Asia tour which will see him perform in Seoul, Bangkok and Jakarta.
Joining him as the opening act will be Jinjett Wattanasin, aka Jaonaay, a famous Thai artist who is popular for his songs Kon La Chun, Pae Hua Jai, Aep Bok Rak and Deuk Laeo Aya Phoeng Klap.
