Kentucky volunteers needed to help local children in foster care

Volunteers for the Citizen Foster Care Review Boards are needed in 69 Kentucky counties. Volunteers will review cases of local children in foster care and make recommendations.

Citizen Foster Care Review Boards are court-appointed volunteers that conduct interactive reviews on children committed to the Cabinet for Health and Family Services. These boards make recommendations to the cabinet and state courts on the child’s behalf. The Kentucky General Assembly created these boards in 1982 to decrease children’s time in out-of-home care.
